Japan has confirmed 28 cases, mad cow disease in animals, raised on a farm in northern Japan, said the Ministry of Agriculture on Friday. Tests 6,5-year-old dairy cow from the herd on the northern island of Hokkaido were positive on Friday, said a ministry statement. Contaminated cow is the 28th since the discovery of the first cases in 2001. The animal will be destroyed, and none of it would not in use or feed, said the Ministry. |
