South Korea will resume imports of beef from the United States in early September.       

      It is expected that South Korea will decide on whether to lift the ban on imports of beef from the United States in early September, said the Ministry of Agriculture.
It stated that the final decision will be made after a team of experts to inspect meat processing plants procedures that could lead to banned beef imports.

Seoul has banned imports of U.S. beef in late 2003, when the case was detected mad cow disease in the United States.

At some plants in the U.S., proven experts in May found that cutting and packing of American and foreign beef happens in one conveyor one instrument, while others simultaneously processed cattle of different ages, although must be done separately.
